Our family has been taking lessons at Musicology for 6 years and we can't say enough great things about our experience. Between three boys and myself we have taken drum, guitar, and piano so we have been with several instructors. All have been very professional, talented in their areas of expertise and great with kids and adults. They will work with everyone to find what works for their family with regard to schedule and what musical interests they have. We would highly recommend this school for any music lessons!

Quentin, the owner of Musicology, is a very passionate musician and teacher. We have been blessed with him being our child’s music teacher. During his music lessons, he has inspired our child to get excited about learning and playing music. Quentin also does “extra” activities for all of the musicology students to show off their talents by sponsoring quarterly music showcases. They are amazing to watch and everyone enjoys them. While taking lessons at Musicology, I learned how to be percussionist, more specifically a snare drummer. I rose through the snare line to become the center snare while taking lessons from Quentin. What I learned from Quentin went further than just being the best snare drummer, he prepared me to be a section leader. My senior year of high school I became the percussion section leader and applied everything I learned from Quentin to making the whole line better. After high school, I went to the University of Alabama in Huntsville where I am a founding member of the drumline there. I became the section leader of the UAH drumline in fall of 2018, and to this day I use everything Quentin taught me. What Musicology taught me went much further than just being the best snare drummer, I was taught how to be an effective leader and how to teach the next generation of drummers.

My daughter's been going her for a few years. We've attended other music schools in town, but none of them hold a candle to Musicology's staff! Starting this year, she is also taking vocal lessons and all I can say is "Wow!" I'm impressed Musicology for their ability to instill a love of music and their propensity to help the students develop their musical skills. To top it off, we just attended a recital, and one of the guests we brought with us made the statement that it was the BEST musical recital he ever attended! Keep it up, guys! You rock!

Our family has had students at Musicology on and off for 12 years. Quentin has been an amazing influence on our oldest son in the development of his percussion career. From drums and drum kit to marimba, Quentin helped our son reach his goal of being in the Million Dollar Band at the University of Alabama. Now our son is the section lead of the MDB battery and occasionally plays drum kit for worship bands.
Our other 2 sons have also gotten wonderful instruction from Eric, Quentin and other instructors over the years on piano, guitar, marimba and drums. Even Mom has taken piano lessons at Musicology! Outstanding customer service, top notch instruction, and genuine love for teaching are all great reasons to take lessons at Musicology School of Music.

Musicology has practically been my home since 2006. I started as a 10 year old who knew nothing about music, and I have become a 17 year old musician who continues to learn every day. I love absolutely everything about Musicology. The environment is family friendly as well as full of fun while learning music. I have always loved the teachers as well. They really understand how to work with children and teenagers who take interest in what they love. I have always felt like the teachers genuinely care and love what they are doing. I have grown tremendously as a musician with the help of Musicology. This is because Musicology allows an individual to give their own input concerning music. There is no place I would rather be, than the one and only Musicology.

We have multiple children in Musicology and have for several years. They seem to tinker with the formula to improve the children's learning experience and get them excited about music, and it shows. We really like how they put students together into a band format and work their learning experience into playing songs together. They continue learning about music, but they are also learning how to play the kind of music that they like, and that has made all the difference keeping their interest. Their teachers are also passionate about music, and it shows as the gift of music is rubbing off on my family. We can't thank Musicology enough for that!"

My daughter Francesca started taking vocal lessons at Musicology when she was 10 years old she is now almost 15.She started out sweet and kind of shy. because of the amazing teachers at this school she can sing in front of a large crowd or on stage with her band mates.so Big thanks to Q my family loves u both and plan to continue to grow Francesca's talent together!

I just wanted to take this time to CELEBRATE Musicology and all of its fabulous staff!! Our son, Greycen, takes drum and piano lessons, along with ROCK BAND!!! Greycen has taken music lessons for many years, learning technique and sight reading, but not until MUSICOLOGY was he able to play regular SHOWCASES. Greycen is able to take the music that he loves from ANY genre and learn it, in weeks. The staff is super professional and always willing to adjust to our schedules, as needed. There is such a variety of lessons to take and the work ethic of all of the staff is like no other. Greycen is challenged, free, loved, and absolutely loves his ROCK BAND with Ms Kelli Udas!!! It is well worth the money, time, and effort. Come out and check out MUSICOLOGY, either in MADISON or HUNTVILLE!
