Welcome Back Musicology Students!

​Our teachers and staff are ready for another year of helping you reach your musical goals. We have also been working hard, finding ways to communicate better with you.
 
We have our monthly newsletter in print, available at the school when you come for your lessons. Our newsletter is also available by email. If you are not receiving it by email, please call the Front Desk Staff and they will set it up for you.
 
We now have our newsletter available on YouTube! Subscribe to our channel to receive it.  The YouTube channel is also a great way to receive notifications from us, specifically about inclement weather.

We have changed our schedule for 2017 to serve your family better.  Our teachers will no longer take individual vacations. Instead, the school will be closed and no lessons will be taught on the following days:
 
January 1 New Year’s Day
 
March 13-18  Spring Break
 
May 29 Memorial Day
 
July 4-8 Independence Day
 
September 4 Labor Day
 
November 21-24 Thanksgiving
 
December 25-30 Christmas

Which instruments do you teach at Musicology?
I teach beginning piano, beginning guitar and all levels of voice.
 
How long have you been teaching music?
I have been teaching for 8 or 9 years now.
 
What do you like the most about teaching?
I love watching my students overcome obstacles and learn something they thought they’d never learn.
 
What is your favorite type of music?
That’s a tough question. I like classic rock, musical theatre and jazz/swing music, like Frank Sinatra. 
 
What are your hobbies, besides music?
I really like to travel. I also like to read, historical non-fiction books mostly.  
 
What is your favorite kind of food?
Pad thai and hot wings!
 
Do you have any pets? I have a dog named Gilbert and a cat named Butterscotch.

3. What are your hobbies, besides music?

I like to write and draw, as well as play softball.

1. What is the best thing you have learned from your teacher?   The most important thing is probably how to actually play the instruments.
