As Musicology School of Music grows, the need for planning and synchronizing our calendars has never been greater. So we thought that we would share with you the 2015 Events Calendar. 2015 looks to be an exciting year for our students with lots of opportunities to perform and share our talent with the community. Below are a few of the dates. For a complete look, check out page 2. · March 15th Spring Student Showcase · April 19th Musicology School of Music Anniversary / Open House · June 6th Family Fun Expo @ VBC · July 18th & 19th Summer Student Show Case Spring Showcase: Our next Student Showcases are planned for Sunday, March 15th. They will be at Musicology in the Performance Hall and are tentatively planned for the under 13 showcases to be held at 2 and 3:30pm. We have also planned an over 13 Showcase for 5:00pm. We encourage everyone to participate, but participation is not mandatory. If you or your child wants to participate, this is what we need you to do: Go to our website, and click on the “Spring Student Showcase” tab. Pick the time that you want and an estimation of how many guests you will have and submit it to us. The recital hall will hold about 90 people comfortably, so seating is somewhat limited. If there are not enough people signed up to warrant having two under 13 Showcases, we will consolidate down to one Showcase at 3pm. Student Showcase Guidelines and Cutoff Day: At Musicology School of Music we want every performance opportunity to be a successful and positive experience for the performer. To ensure this positive environment Musicology has adopted a few guidelines. 1. Every Performer must have your instructor’s approval before signing up for a Showcase. 2. You must sign up on or before the cutoff day. No exceptions will be made. 3. You cannot add guests after the cutoff date. No exceptions will be made. In this Issue:
