What’s Happening at Musicology Wow! Summer 2014 has been awesome. We would like to thank all of our new students who enrolled during this summer. We are very proud that you chose Musicology as your music school provider. We would like to also thank our Resident Photographer Cristen Smith, from Flashlights and Fireflies for the amazing work she did at Family Fun Expo. She took the newsletter cover photos above of Eli B, Deacon R, and Katie H. Big Day for the School: Musicology will be holding an Open House / Customer Appreciation Day August 3rd from 2-4 pm here at the school. We will be giving tours of the facility and providing free demo classes for the various instruments that we teach. For our current clients, we will have bouncy houses, face painting, free food, and a concert by the Musicology Rock and Folk Pop Bands. Please remember to bring your lawn chairs, for this event outside event. (Weather Permitting) Fall Recitals are now on the Books. Musicology is excited to announce its fall recital schedule. This fall we will be splitting our recitals into age groups. 14 – Adult will be Sunday September 21st at 2:00 pm & 4:00pm. The under 14 recital will be Sunday October 5th at 2:00pm & 4:00pm. This recital will be a costume party. Dress as your favorite musical star or a character from the song that you will be performing. So if you play the song Iron Man you could dress as my favorite super hero Tony Stark. If you play or sing the theme from Cinderella then you can and dress like her. It should be a fun day filled with many memories. Fall Schedule: Fall is here whether we like it or not, and now is the time to take a look at your fall schedule. Every year Musicology receives several requests to change student schedules due to other after school commitments. Please contact the office as soon as possible. Make Up Classes: Musicology has added more makeup classes due to the enrollment at the school. We will even have a few of these new classes during the week. To sign up for a make up class go to the website and click on the tab makeup classes or call the office from 3:00 pm – 6:00pm M-F and Peyton will be glad to help you. We hope this summer has been filled with fun and amazing memories and that this fall will be as well. If we can help you in any way, call our office at 256-325-6099 or text us at 256-258-8621.
